Content Stability in the Repertory Grid: An Examination Using a Forensic Sample

James Horley

Department of Psychology, Millbrook Correctional Centre, Millbrook, Ontario LOA lGO, Canada

The temporal reliability of the Role Construct Repertory Grid Technique (Rep Grid) was examined using a sample of incarcerated men who had committed violent offenses. The content of repeated administrations of a 10 x 20 Rep Grid was analyzed and then compared for common content. The average shared content of 64% agrees with earlier findings, but a wide range of individual variance was found. These results reveal moderate temporal reliability for this assessment technique.
