The Mercenary as Social Bandit: A Preliminary Look

This preliminary study views the actions of the modern mercenary as aform of social banditry. It concludes by pointing out the needfor further research into the mercenary and other types of social bandits to assist adequate theories of criminal and deviant behavior can be constructed.
