Corrections Mental Health Institution, Chattahoochee, Florida 32324, U.S.A. The homicide of a psychiatrist by her brother, a chronic schizophrenic, is reviewed. Precipitating events and early warning signs are considered with suggestions on how these signs could have been utilized to avert this tragedy. The victim's inability to remain objective regarding the treatment of her brother is also discussed.
